TELLConsult to participate in another EU project on mobile technologies in education.

The Erasmus+ application Designing And Evaluating Innovative Mobile Pedagogies (DEIMP) was approved thanks to a generally very  positive and supportive evaluation by the assessors involved.

TELLConsult Projects (associate partner in the preceding MTTEP project) is delighted to have been invited by HULL University to participate and contribute to the project definition and the formation of the international partnership.

The project’s  main aims are to:

  • strengthen the professional profile of both teacher educators and teachers in schools by enhancing their capacity to use digital technologies (mobile devices) in ways that are innovative and promote new teaching methods and pedagogies across both sectors.
  • develop resources and tools (e.g. a mobile app) that will enable teacher educators, trainee teachers and practising teachers to work more effectively together on evaluation research of these innovations.
  • equip decision and policy makers with more reliable evidence to support them in developing and implementing policy directives to encourage greater and more effective use of mobile technologies as tools for learning.

In anticipation that this could well be a successful bid a provisional initial meeting date was set  in advance by the initiator and project coordinator Prof. Dr. Kevin Burden, Professor in Educational Technology at the School of Education and Social Sciences (University of Hull, UK)

So preparations for the kick-off meeting in September have already started where we will meet partners of other Schools of Education ( National University of Ireland, Galway),  InHolland (NL), PXL (Belgium), the University of Technology Sydney (Australia) and our technical partner, CARDET, in Nicosia, Cyprus
